You can check if Local Dimming is on. Try turning it off and check if you still have the issue.
I have the same issue on my TCL 50EP640.
Brightness dimm on and off all the time and all of the dynamic options are OFF ! The only way to bypass it is to switch on the "Smart HDR" mode , but the display settings are minimals and i can't have the same quality that i have on "Cinema" Mode.
Please can you help ?
