Best budget Android TV

by Steeler_Train

I don't have cable and am looking at getting Android TV for iptv...or should I get Amazon Fire. I don't have prime. I noticed my local Walmart has the Jetstream Android TV for $70.00. is that the best one for it's price point? Is there better for that price point? Also is there like rooting for them or anything spectacular about them? I have a Roku right now for 2 TV's. I can't get Mobdro for it which is one app I've found that sounds promising. Tips, advice? Etc.

If you don't have Prime the FireTV UI will drive you nuts with all of the Amazon Prime ads for shows and movies.

I have Prime and it still drives me nuts. The MiBox S is $50 at WalMart right now, I'd get that if it were me.

From what i have learned from this forums, for IPTV Fire TV 4k ($25 when on sale) or Mi Box S($30 when on sale) work well too . There are many free apps which will play iptv, your provider may also have a app. Many here enjoy paid apps.

Mobdro is not promising best attribute is it's free, and it's not even good as free. There are lots of legit reliable ad supported apps and some decent paid pirate IPTV services. if that's what you are looking for. I would look at the Mibox S if all you are looking to do is the various IPTV things. The Fire TV Stick 4K is probably the best device for that kind of thing price wise, and it's more powerful than either of the low level Android TV devices. Even though IPTV doesn't need a powerful device. Fire TV may also be a little easier to learn to sideload with since it's the device of choice for YouTube video makers on the subject.
