About the Mi Box S

Question

I'm thinking about buying a Mi Box S as an update from the Chromecast.

The thing is, the Chromecast connects perfectly with the Google Nest, I can voice-command it to open some Netflix show, play a song or just turn it on/off.

Is it possible to do the same with the Mi Box S? Does it have the same level of connectivity?

You're supposed to be able to, but in my experience with both the Shield and Mi Box the voice control from Google Home/Nest isn't nearly as reliable as it is on an actual Chromecast device.

Great for streaming, but the Chromecast built in to Android TV devices is fickle and unreliable IMO. If you cast a lot, you will likely still want a Chromcast too.
