New 32" Android TV-certified TVs by Sceptre, has anyone ordered them from Amazon/Walmart? I've been thinking about getting one for my mom.

Nope.

I got a Sceptre tv at Walmart a few years ago, it wasn't Android TV but it was absolute shit

This might be better but I'd be wary of the picture quality

Native Resolution 1366 x 768

Sounds like a bad idea. 1080p TVs are so cheap these days.

Is it touch screen? I miss having an oversized tablet for the kitchen

Is the trade war still jacking up the price of the Android TV with google home built in?

Here is a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dL2dMluVNg&feature=youtu.be

I got the video link by right clicking on hsn site and there was an option to copy the url.

We have a 32" Sceptre 720P TV for our kitchen and the image quality is BARELY appropriate for that use and only because it was so cheap that I don't care if it gets damage and has to be replaced and forget it if you don't have external speakers, it will be unusable.

I had ordered a Sceptre 50 inch from Walmart and before Xmas, I returned it for a HiSense H6500F which I got on some sale from Best Buy. (less than $400)

I appreciate that it's more than the 50 inch Sceptre. But I'm getting a significantly more enjoyable experience than I think I would've had with the "dumb" Sceptre.

I like the device overall. It's not bending time and space to deliver some Quantum Dot lunacy, but IMHO it was a Great bang for the buck. I like their Dolby implementation.

I've taken some time to calibrate it as best as I presently can. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the entire experience. Bonus for you and your mom (kindly said) is that I've called their customer service number a few times and they've been extremely helpful.

Android TV has had a few hiccups here and there to be honest... But nothing that a quick power off/on hasn't fixed. IMHO.

I had a bad experience with Sceptre in the past so I avoid them. I have no idea how it happened, but somehow the first LCD I ever owned, from them, somehow got burn in. Somehow they achieved what should be impossible. I ran my desktop on it every day, and the Taskbar burned in.

Then, a year or two into owning it, the power board failed.

$150 for a 720p TV. At that resolution, I can only assume Android TV is being powered by some 3 year old hardware (as it doesn't need to deal with 1080p - 4K).

They sell a 32" 1080p Sceptre on Amazon, its about $40 less expensive.

Quit buying god damn TVs with Android you retards. All your gonna do is come here and bitch when they suck or never get updated or slow.

Buy a shield or don’t get into the android tv ecosystem.
