Most of the time it’s super loud. I can watch one YT video and it super loud, which means I have to dramatically turn it down to a minimum to have normal sound that doesn’t hurt my ears. But although I turned the volume down, if I watch another video it’s super loud again.
I get that YouTube videos are all different but I don’t get that experience on a laptop, or my phone. The volume is more or less steady regardless of the video I watch.
The volume of YouTube videos is dictated by the individual YouTube content creators, so naturally there will be some variation as different skill levels for audio mastering are at play. It is, after all, a platform for professionals and amateurs alike.
My theory: Your laptop or your phone likely do not have the dynamic range that the Shield has. You are probably hearing a lot more detail and dynamics on better equipment, so the differences are more pronounced.
