It really annoys me how to get into some menu settings it's way more difficult than it needs to be.
If I'm browsing videos and I see one I want to watch later, it's almost 10 clicks to add it to my water mater playlist. Play video, across to more select add to playlist, select it then back and back again. Surely we should have a long press to pop up a menu instead? Or a button for menu etc?
And... while we're at it. Can we just press left and right to scan through a video please.
That sounds like a decent feature request to me. Probably best to suggest it directly to Google though if you want the idea to stand any chance of making it through to the app developers.
I don't understand why Google is so obsessed with having the YouTube Android TV app be exactly the same as YouTube on other platforms. Android TV is theirs . So is Android. They could do so much cool stuff, using the phone app as an optional second screen, but they don't seem to be interested.
I have this on one of my Shields. Started a week or two ago. I don't have it on my second one, though. I guess they're either testing it or slowly rolling it out.
Why not just use your history as a playlist?
A few months back my Sony Android TV had an option in YouTube to long press to add a video to watch later. Thank you Jesus I thought. Then as quick as it came, it went away. I have no idea what happened. Perhaps it was buggy on some platforms and they pulled it but I had no problems.
They could have some options to the right. Right now when opening the progress bar their aren't many options at all untill you press the hamburger and right does nothing.
While we are here, can we please have a Windows 10 style lettering system in the channels section? Scrolling down all my channels to get to YogaWithAdrieene is time consuming.
I feel like there was one briefly and then they removed it.
Also when tf will YouTube get PIP ?
