I use a Mi Box S with Kodi and the Sky Go Add-on for the german Sky Go. I don't think there's a difference between the german and uk service.

There is a very good selection of TV set-top boxes at normal prices, so maybe it will be a suitable option for you
As far as im aware the skygo app wont work on any ATV box , it may work on a box running standard Android but reading around even that has issues , the least of all is the need for a mouse.
