This box is identical to the MiBox mdz-16-ab sold by a Korean provider. It originally shipped with a version of AndroidTV Nougat 7.
Refer to the steps involved for factory reset of Mibox mdz-16-ab that are invoked by holding buttons on remote and applying power.
If that works, you will have a Korean language home screen.
You may be prompted to update the firmware. This will flash the latest Nougat available for this device.
If that step fails, proceed to manually flashing the latest Oreo firmware. Instructions are in this /r as well as sources to download the flashable zip file.
