Android TV and TNT

by ClaireHilda

HelloSo we just ordered a new Android TV, this is the first time im getting my hand on one of those

I have several questions which i cant find clear answer about it

  1. The TV can be connected in wifi to my router on its own ? or do i need a special wifi equipment alongside the TV to be able to log in ?

2 ) Can i receive the standard TNT directly via the TV or do i need a need a special TNT box ?

Thanks :)

Edit : i am from France, TNT is free here, that's why im curious if i can get it directly via the wifi of the TV, or if need to plug the cable anyway

If your TV has Android TV on it, it should have built in wifi, so no other equipment required.

As far as the TNT network, you'll need a cable TV subscription or a streaming TV subscription to get it.

Yes, if your TV has WiFi built in you can connect it directly to your network and use the built in apps to receive programming over the internet.

TNT looks like it is a free satellite service which would require a satellite dish (obviously) and a tuner (box) to decode the signal. However, when I do a channel scan on my TV (in the USA), I get an option for Cable, Air, Satellite ...so check the TV before buying a separate box. (I've never used that function on my TV, but it seems it can decode unencrypted satellite channels...which there are a few of in the United States , but I don't know of anyone that watches them.

Check the app store to see if TNT has an app.

You wont get it simply thru wifi, youd need an app or a tuner
