I have tried five times now to update to Shield Experience 8.0.2.
It downloads fine, verifies, and then I tell it to reboot to install. Progress bar gets maybe a quarter of the way through and then it just reboots. Once back up and running I can check and see I'm still on 8.0.1 and it tells me there is an update available again. Rinse, repeat.
I've never had an issue with upgrades before on my Shield TV over all these years until now. Anyone else seeing the same thing?
Have you tried downloading the full image? There is an option for it in Developer Options. Can't tell you if it will work for you. I have a 2017 Shield and it updated fine.
