- HDR content plays well, although first 30 seconds can expect random stutter which self stops afterwards.
- Bigger problem with Dolby Vision, the whole screen flashes different transparent colours and random stutter.
- While watching any content on PrimeVideo app, if I try using the TV menu during the watching process, the video and sound will stutter.
My particular tv (Toshiba 55U7950) has WCG, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10+ with Android 8 (soon they release Android 9).
Thank you for your help!
I have a Bravia that has a slow interface and sometimes runs slowly on certain apps, no doubt due to a poor processor.
I don't know what processor your TV has but it probably isn't anything terribly premium.
My TV runs slowly but also well enough for most apps. However, I have also noticed issues using the Prime Video app where it will play fine usually but any interaction via the remote while watching a show will cause slowdown, stuttering - even something as tedious as changing the volume. It is only very rarely that I have seen the app have issues similar to what you've described without any attempted input from the user.
I mostly cast Prime content now.
