I'm at work and don't remember specifics, so google anything I'm missing, but here's how I've done it.

I believe you can mount the internal SD on your Mac through Samba by enabling sharing in the Shield settings. It'll give let you chose a user name but will generate a password for you. Then in the Finder menu at the top of the screen you'll see "Go > Connect to Server." You'll enter your IP address under the SMB protocol like this: "smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" (replace x's with numbers.) You might need to sellect something like "Connect As" somewhere to enter credentials.

Nowadays though, I find it easier to load Solid Explorer into my Shield and mount the Mac's drive in Solid Explorer to transfer files back and forth. The Mac permissions are less fussy.

If you have the pro you can use the micro USB port and connect it to your Mac.
