Tick sounds from speakers after upgrading to Android 9 on mibox

by eyalzub

Hi, I have an amp connected to the mibox analog output, that I usually keep on even when the mibox is turned off. It wasn't an issue until I upgraded to 9, and now when I turn the mibox off, I hear strong "tick" sounds from my speakers every few seconds or so.

This is really annoying. Did someone else get that? Is it at all possible to roll back to Android 8? Thanks

Thanks for the comments. It's unfortunate I can't roll back, the Android 9 also has issues with chromecast from my phone. I shouldn't have upgraded, there are no advantages, only issues.

No, it is not possible to roll back.

Try an audio / ground loop isolator

Even I am stuck.... Audio does not come through the Bluetooth Speakers. In fact then connected to a Bluetooth speaker, the Internet stops! Also, Chromecast issue!

Unless you sense a corresponding "tock" you have no worries.

As to reverting to android 8 you would need to engage the talents of Harry Potters parents to effect such a change.
