Hi,i recently bought a Mi box S and when i try to watch Amazon prime with 720p or 1080p the video is just a black screen,when i set the resolution to 480p it works just fine,is there any fix to this problem?
Latest version of amazon prime is installed.
What version of Android are you running? What version of prime? I'm still at Android 8.1 and have sideloaded Prime Video Android TV 4.11.4-googleplay-armv7a.apk and it works fine for me.
Too many issues so I'm not upgrading to 9.
I didn't update to Android 9 yet. But maybe you can try to sideload the "NVIDIA SHIELD" version of older(4.2) "Amazon Video" and see if that working.
By the way I also tried sideload Prime Video 5.x on MI BOX S Android 8. It has the exact same issue as yours. I guess it's amazon's fault.
"Amazon Video" 4.2 AND "Prime video" 4.11.4 works fine but no 4K/HDR.
"Prime Video" 4.12.15 support 4K/HDR on MI BOX S but it only works on "first login": if you put the app on background even just a second, game over. The only way to make it work again is to clear the data and re log in. Anything higher than 4.12.15 is bad so far.
So I keep both "Amazon Video" and "Prime Video" 4.12.15 on my MI BOX S. They can be installed at same time.
Also having problems with the Amazon black screen or flickering... Don't know what Mi is waiting for... A lot to fix since the latest update.
