I have had the same issue after the last major update. Cant find a way to fix it. Casting from other Android devices works fine.
Might need to roll back the update
Windows Cast is either Miracast for Wireless display or DLNA for casting audio/video files stored your computer. Android TV does not support natively either of these protocols. If it was working before on your Sony TV, then it must have been a custom implementation that is vendor specific.
Android TV supports Chromecast protocol, and you'd use f.e. Google Chrome browser for Windows to cast content to Android TV.
