Mi Box S Garbage?

I took a chance since walmart had this thing for $30 and since my 1st gen chromecast is dying I figure this thing could at least replace that. Well, It shows up as a stream device, connects, and instantly disconnects. I've tried everything. Anything I can do to get this thing to work?

Update everything then factory reset. I have 4 units, and all are working as expected.

The app needs to be updated. I was having the same issue. After that, go to App settings and clear data and cache. Then you're good :)

What I did with mine was to update everything (apps and os) and factory reset. Everything was working nice after that.
