Hello. Just got the mi box s. Upgraded to 9 (doh?) And everything is working pretty good except that some video apps (ie HBO) give me sound and subtitles but no video (only black screen). Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I sometimes have this problem with the CTV app. Deleting data seems to work.
Well this was funky. After resetting and doing everything I could think of I finally tried a different hdmi port on the TV and now all the apps work. I think I might have something to do with the hdmi 3 port on my Philips TV and HDR causing an issue with hdcp or something.
Just leaving this tip here for anyone else with this problem. Try a different hdmi port and you might fix the issue.
Copy right protection mechanism...
Try performing a factory reset after the update to smooth things out.
Black screen when streaming copy protected video always point to a HDMI HDCP failure.
Either power down and reboot, change HDMI TV ports or you may even need better quality Premium Certified 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 cables . Make sure they are not stupidly long.
