Since I use Kodi for my video collection I also use that for streaming my music collection.
You can install VLC player from Play store on Android TV ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.videolan.vlc&hl=en_US ). It can play media (including music files and playlists) from SMB share (under "Local Network").
You can also use VLC player on your phone to cast media from SMB share to Android TV, which has Chromecast built-in function. While this may seem redundant, it's quite convenient when you are not near your Android TV (e.g. in the kitchen) and want to change what's playing.
Plex - Local content or Tidal. It can also steam over Sonos. z It can also steam local content remotely.
