Hello, my expectation was to download some movies offline to cast those of my smartphone to mi tv box S on our weekend place.
The issue is that when I try to cast to my mi tv box, no device appear available. It is connected to tv and network all works fine, just cast is the problem. I tried it yesterday with internet and all worked fine. Only one difference is that wifi (router) have no access to internet now. I also tried to set up another hotspot all is connected to same network just without internet access and I did not find a way to cast to the box this way. Is the internet access really an issue? Or any advices to cast/discover box without internet?
Despite what most people think, the act of casting something doesn't require internet, but actually playing the casted media requires internet. "casting" essentially tells the Mi Box to play from a certain URL. No internet, no casting.
