4.3gb total space

by YetYetAnotherPerson

Have a Hisense Android TV that was running low on internal space so I added a 16gb USB as device storage. That eventually got slow and started throwing up warnings that internal storage space was almost full. I just put 128 GB USB in there converted it to internal storage ask the Android TV to migrate everything over and got rid of the old 16GB. It still lists the 128 GBS having no extra space I went to actually look at it there's only about 2 GB of content (on the USB) and 4.3 GB of total space (internal + USB).

Is there a total space limit on Android TV? Is there some reason why I can't get it to recognize a larger USB drive as actually being larger? It seems to only get a gigabyte or two out of the USB.

It's not an AndroidTV limitation, I have a larger drive connected. Have you tried formatting it?

I have been battling my own USB war with my Android TV. In the same boat of expanding memory.

Anyway, in your case .. first thing first. Remove 16gb USB and insert 128 gb. See settings storage and see what does it list this as.. does it show under device storage and what size.

On fk ( file komander) if the app data is on 16 gb storage it will show your internal space as 16 gb even though u added another 128 gb.

My guess is you used a similar or this app to view your storage. If so, on your android menu you go to the settings storage and go to 16 gb USB and apps and see what all apps are shown there. Those apps didn't migrate yet to the 128 gb

Either manually migrate thrm or go to the 128 gb USB and again select.migrate data

Me.. I am trying to do this on my WD USB hdd/ Toshiba Android 4k Tv

The story I could tell you, I will be posting on another thread.

Are you formatting as Fat32, NTFS or Exfat?
