You could try to turn CEC on in your tv settings then control it with the tv remote.
Also, you can install a remote control app for your smartphone, if it has infrared sensor; some apps are specific for tv brands.
Check the back of your TV. There should be 3 tiny buttons that you can use for navigation.
A USB Mouse or Keyboard would be my first suggestion, even if you would have to get someone to let you borrow temporarily.
