YouTube's new Hold Click Menu

It's brilliant they brought this new feature in, I had been wanting it for ages, but does anyone else think they did a bad job?

Firstly, the first item on the menu is Play. This is stupid. A single click does play, why would I want to hold click and then click again for play. The hold click should have the things you want most at the top. Pointless.

The next one is Not interested. I never/rarely use this. So why is it second?

Watch later - this is the one most people want to use, this should be at the top! I really don't understand how they got this so wrong.

Does anyone know where I can go to complain or give this feedback to the Devs?

If you ignore that popup window the first time you use the app, most people probably forgot about the long press menu, so they don't even use it.

If you really want to complain about something that is actually reasonable, then be upset about why the hell is the Subscriptions menu the second to last BEHIND useless menu items like "Music, Gaming, News".

  • Home
  • Subscriptions
  • Library
  • Music
  • Gaming
  • News

I personally can understand why they would put Play first for two reasons. The first is for people who mean to press the button to play the video but accidentally hold it slightly too long and bring up the menu. Since this is a new feature, I expect this to be happening a lot. The second is for people who long press looking for a detailed video info option or just to see what options are available and then find out what is and isn't there just want to play the video.

Anyway, you can go to the feedback link and give them your opinion. I personally don't think it's something to complain about as you said you want to do. They gave you a feature you wanted and it's just not listed in your prefered order. Complaining seems harsh and counterproductive to me. I would think a simple suggestion about your preferred order would suffice. But that's up to you.

Agreed. Watch later should be at the top.

If you scroll thru videos though at the bottom while you're playing at the bottom, you can't add it to Watch Later either.

Also other sections like in playlists that are suggested, you can't add Watch Later either. Inconsistent
