Lost Remote, How to Get Android Homescreen

by XnowFM

Hi all,

I lost the remote for my television, and the television still automatically boots android for tv, however as the last thing we used was the TV option (on HDMI 1), it is currently stuck there. I have my mouse and keyboard connected to the tv, so we have some methods of input (for example, we can select different TV inputs, such as HDMI 2, 3, etc).

I would however like to access the android for tv homescreen again, so that I can launch other apps, such as Netflix. Is there anyway using the keyboard and mouse that I can go back to the homescreen?

Does the TV have a physical button to change the input?

Try Win + Esc = exit back to homescreen as you can read here: http://www.androidtvforum.com/threads/keyboard-shortcuts.1670/

Is the mouse and keyboard connected usb or Bluetooth? If its usb you can buy a FLIRC and use a spare remote to learn and program using android tv keyboard shortcuts. I did that for my razer forge tv box that never came with a physical remote control. I used a windows media center remote.
