Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best box out today. I want to get the Nvidia Shield TV pro but every where I look it's about $300 - $400. The new model has no usb so don't want that. What is the best option other than those 2?

If you want a box with official android TV support then think about the mi box s...
The next step down for snappy, Android TV only streaming options (No USB) are:
- Verizon Stream TV
- AirTV Mini
- TiVo Stream 4K
Those 3 will be faster vs the older chipset Mi Boxes and JetStream 4K Ultra.
Ematic AGT419
Can we ban all these people recommend Fire OS ad supported garbages?
After all is an Android TV subreddit.
I got a shield a few years ago and it's been brilliant. Also got a mi box s for the bedroom and it went from okay to rubbish in a little over a year. So I just brought a new shield for the main TV and put the older one in the bedroom. I would highly recommend waiting for the shield to be back at normal prices if you want a box that won't give you hassles.
If I can live without the usb slots, is the new nvidia shield tv worth it or should I try and wait for the pro?
Might help find an answer, what country are you in. I'm only seeing Shield TV Pro at $200
2019 SHIELD pro, just wait for it to be back in stock @$200 instead of scalper prices - or even fall/X-mas if you can wait that long - should be less than $200 then
Other than that nothing really. Might have luck with Tivo Android TV device or the rumored upcoming Google Android TV Chromecast dingle thing. But one's not even out yet and one isn't confirmed to actually be happening.
Nvidia Shield all the way
Well, i have my mibox3 for about 4 years now. NEVER have any problem at all. Actually, the smooter android tv device y have so far.
