I was hoping someone could help me with the following conundrum. I have a Hisense H8 Android TV and noticed that all video apps (in this case Plex and Kodi) besides the native video player and Netflix are only able to play videos at 1080p resolution. Is this 'normal' or to be expected with Android TV or is there a possible workaround to this?
When you say unable , give an example of what happens when you select a 4K file with Plex to play. Do your have your Plex quality settings set it original. Are you using Kodi with local files or streaming addons? How old is the TV and are you aware it it has bitrate restrictions?
