Have a feeling it will be released with the rumoured upcoming Android TV UI refresh.
Google has the habit of announcing things a year early.
The version I have on my MiBox S isn't even playing any of my Movies any longer.
It's different from my Samsung TV app, but that's not necessarily ba bad thing to me personally.
