I just have that annoying behavior that every time I turn my TV on, I have to go to setting and click on my usual wifi to connect to the internet. It is there as "saved", but the TV just does not automatically make the link. It used to, and I did do a reset of the Android system which solved the issue, but it is now happening again.
Is this a known bug? Any idea how to solve it?
I had this problem with a Sony i was installing for a customer.
The tv would connect and then need to be manually connected
I did have to reset the unit twice but it still did it. Check to see if the tv has update, or see if the sonys support page lists an update.
If you can hard wire the router it should work better.
It could also be a sign that there is an issue with your router.
Try removing the wifi password just to test.
I can't remember but i may have set the TV to be allowed on the wifi regardless of a password with the TVs MAC address.
If you can't hard wire because the router is to far you can always invest in Ethernet over power adapters. Wires are the best, WiFi is the devil. Just my thought on devices that have network ports.
