Not sure if I'm doing this right But i have my router in one room and connected it into my Ethernet wall outlet wall via Ethernet cable. I have my nvidia in the the other room and connected it via Ethernet through the Ethernet port in the wall aswell. How come it’s not seeing the Ethernet connection?
Ah..so you're saying I plugged my ethernet cable coming from my router into an inactive ethernet wall jack and I need to find the "root/main"wall jack instead?
Adding to what brianunfried has said, this will only work if your router plugs into the rj45 wall port then the ethernet cable runs from the router room to nvidia room directly.
But if there's a network switch involved then provide internet to that this will ensure all ethernet ports are active with internet.
Ethernet doesn't work like that. You need to connect the Shield to the router, not the wall.
