Booting Android TV OS on PC

by isaiahyoung24

Does Anyone Know How Exactly To Boot The Latest Version Of Android TV OS From A Bootable USB Thumb Drive On A PC?

I Know How To Put The OS On The USB Thumb Drive Using Rufus, I Just Need To Know Where I Can Get The ISO File, What To Set The Target System, Partition Scheme, File System And Cluster Size.

Google really should release this officially so people can convert old PCs and increase Android TV market share

I never though to install android TV on a pc. There are some porting of android to x86 architecture, but I've never seen any of android TV, so I imagine there isn't.

Check this guide out.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought you were asking how to make a stick to boot android on a pc from a stick

It's not worth it. Last time I checked it only worked with specific hardware (Intel + Intel gpu). I could only play stereo sound. YouTube would stop playing video after a few seconds of playback etc...

I used an intel i3 sandy bridge setup for a while using this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/device-reviews-and-information/android-tv-x86-t3726365 It wasn’t perfect but it was fine until I got an Nvidia shield.

I'm wondering this too. How do people compile Android TV for x86? It's been done before but where are the instructions for that? Do they combine regular Android x86 with Android TV stuff?
