all i want is to be able to disable that obnoxious “chromecast built in” watermark.

I feel like I've had this for months already.

FYI for anyone that wants this but it is not working you can kind of get the same thing if you side load Google Photos application in your Android TV. You can then select albums in the screen saver settings in the TV. Not entirely the same but close.

Edit: I have found settings now. It just doesn't look like 'ambient' is clickable in TV settings in Google home but it is.

I have Philips android tv (built in chromecast) and absolutely can't find ANY settings for backdrop whatsoever. In Google home app it does show TV as whole not chromecast with controls/wellbeing mode/filters etc but not chromecast settings.

I've ended up hooking my old chromecast to it for now but I'm really curious if I'm doing anything wrong regarding setting built in up.

(Casting to built in works perfectly fine though it just feels like there's no full chromecast functionality to it).

This puzzles me. Why did it take Google THIS MUCH time to introduce this feature (and stadia) to androidtv where it makes the most sense to use.

I purchased a gallery + screensaver app. Couldn't be happier with it. Works flawlessly and I don't have to look at "Chromecast built-in" text that many people complaint about.

Next best thing for Screensaver or even better depending on your usage:

Sorry I know this is a bit unrelated but I don't think it's worth me making a whole thread for.

How would I find if I can use the my boy! emulator on my android tv, and whether or not I can even hook a controller up? The app doesn't show up on the app store, could I just put the APK on the TV and I'm good to go? Or do these not work like that?
