I have lots of media on my Drive and would like to buy an Android box and watch it on my tv. I'm not interested in Plex or Kodi. Looking to download Drive from the app store like i would do on a phone or tablet.

Most file manager apps allow cloud connections to services like Drive. I use Solid Explorer on my MiBox to move files around on Drive all the time.
It's not available on any Android TV boxes that I know of - however if you just got a Android box with Google play it should be on there
Download the apk from a third party site and sideload it.
FX has really good Drive integration
Android TV and boxes with Android installed are two different operating systems
You can install it via the apk no problem.
