Finally something I was looking for! Simple, microphone, few buttons only, don't care for air-mouse, would only probably need to remap the Google Play button to open YouTube.
Mecool is by far, my favorite brand. Not sure about the "air mouse" function of the remote. The video really did not show the capability of it.
Does it work with an NVIDIA Shield 2017?
I am watching the TV show wild wild West from my over-the-air antenna on the roof, using my mecool KM1.
Mecool has come a long way. I probably have about 8 or 10 mecool boxes. Only the km8 and km1 that I have are Google certified. My KM8 is sitting in a drawer unused somewhere in the house.
I am waiting for them to release a box based on the amlogic s922 x.
Could just buy a cheap, second hand mobile Phone and download apps and make it a remote. Ex, HTC M8 also has IR in Phone. Can make own Buttons.
They don't ship to the US... WTF?
How to use the IR learning? I can't copy the power IR signal from my Sony TV.
I tried pressing "power" and "vol -", the led blinks and then nothing else happens, doesn't seems to read the signal from other remotes...
Okay got the Mecool Remote finally and it's not bad.
I did have to remap the home button using Button Mapper but this is an issue with my TV not the remote.
The YouTube, prime video, and Google Play buttons do nothing and can't be mapped using Button Mapper. When you try to map them it cancels out like you hit the back button.
The Google Assistant button works as it should, even a bit faster with a more sensitive mic than my TV remote.
The air mouse works as it should but does leave a cursor on the screen for a few extra seconds after exiting the function but no problem there.
The remote reports battery life in Bluetooth settings.
My TV is a Hisense H8G running Android 9
Mecool are demonstrating their new Air Mouse remote because they do not have Netflix device approval to be able to use the easy to use regular Android TV OS Netflix App.
You are forced to use a hacked, inferior tablet / touchscreen Android Netflix App with an Air Mouse.
Available at Mecool Online Store .
Would this work on Sony Bravia?
