Steampunk on android tv

by beiren

Hello, i just bought an philips android tv and i want to use the steamlink app to play some games. The problem is the input lag is massive and i can't setup the game mode because it seems like it wants another source but can't change source because the app just uses the smart tv?

Check out moonlight app

I connected my Xbox controller directly to the pc instead of three TV. Also use moonlight, got much better performance with moonlight.

You are aware that you can't just open up stream link, you need a pc to run steam. Also try not to have both your pc and your smart TV connected through WiFi, the connection quality will be abysmal. At least your pc should be cable connected. And your tv should use 5ghz WiFi.

For the actual display-related input lag that you're trying to address by enabling game mode, you're probably SOL. If your TV manufacturer locked that setting to inputs only with no other way to change it, then there's not much you can do. Some of the other suggestions already posted here will be helpful with the network-related latency, but as far as actual input lag from the TV itself, you may not have much luck unfortunately.

I am using an Ethernet cable directly router to TV with 90Mbps speed but the gameplay stutters like hell while using through steamlink. It's ok for small size games as the fps requirements are less but it's no fun playing action/adventure games. 😐
