Exactly how much free storage is left on the Mi Box ?
That can be one of the Primary causes of device slowdowns.
Clear some large App caches in Android Setting or delete Apps completely to free up space.
I'm just sitting here waiting for reports before I update. I skipped the first 2, debating on this one. I'd like amazon prime but that is all I need and I don't want to bork anything else. The prime I sideloaded isn't working.

Yeah basically I noticed that everything from starting loading apps takes wayyy much more time than before
