I own 2 Mi Boxes both of which got bricked. The first one got bricked while going through a software update. It would power on and get stuck in a boot loop. I had another so I just switched them and a few days later the MI box restarted for some reason and then got stuck in the same boot loop. I am assuming it has something to do with the DC adapter because I did use the same one for both, but I don't know. This was all months ago and now I came across one of the boxes recently and tried to power it on, but this time the LED turns on but the screen shows no signal. Not sure whether to bury it once and for all or to put some effort into reviving it one last time. I found a tutorial for flashing the firmware here , it's hard to follow though (seems to be translated from Spanish). Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
