Just bought a Xiaomi Mi TV Stick, works great easy to setup.
Is there a way to get a full list of all the available downloadable apps in the googleplay store.
What's the reason for this restriction?
it seems to be rather limited with what you can download. Have tried downloader and Aptoide many of the apps say can't be downloaded if using this method.
Also is it possible to hardwire this device, i have tried using the hardwire adaptor from my firestick but doesn't work with the Mi TV stick.
Well there is no restriction. You're using TV OS and it shows you compatible apps. If you want to sideload, you can always do.
Hey are you facing a problem where the Chromecast feature automatically turns off after a while? I have to disconnect and reconnect the Mi stick for it to start again.

Thecapps in the Google playstore are optimized for Android TV. This is why you need to sideload apps. Best to get filelinked and look at ytube anf get filelinked codes.
