[Question] How to get a screenshot of what's on the AndroidTV screen remotely?

by gevreyc

Basically, I want to check what's on my AndroidTV screen remotely.

How can I automate a screen capture and remotely view the image?

Edit: I may have been unclear, I want to be able to do that when I am not home, to check what is playing on the TV, so it needs to be an app, or a script, that I can run on my LAN or Internet.

You could try a sideloading a net nanny

Mount a Wyze cam and aim it at the TV... You can also turn the audio on, and even yell at your kids through the speaker in the Camera.

By and large you won't be able to do this with any professional video services or broadcast TV.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.sisik.hackendebug Bugjaeger is an app that allows you to do ADB from your phone to your TV. It's really handy. As long as you have a vpn set up, connect your phone to it and you get remote screen shots.

I know it's not automated but a step in the right direction.

With shield you press and old the home buton, then save tjen use a remote explorer and view the file
