How can I re-connect to Bluetooth headset once paired with Android TV?

I have a Bluetooth headset which I have already paired. For the first time, after pairing it will automatically get connected and can hear voice from it. But the problem starts when it's disconnected and try to re-connect again. The problem is that there is no option to 'Connect' to already paired devices. I can see two option one is to change name of paired device and other is to delete the device. It's weird that the option to Connect is not present. Right now, what I do is I will delete the device and then do a search and re-pair it which is a tedious task to do everytime.

So have anyone faced the same problem and managed to get a workaround for this like by using an app that does the job. If so, please let me know in comments.

Turn on the bluetooth headset before turn on the TV. If you have the TV already on turn it off and back on ( with the headset on). This works for me on Android TV 8. I hope it helps.

Try disconnecting the device from what it was previously connected to. Then turning it off. Then turning it on near the Shield and see if it gets picked up.

My Bluetooth headphone's power button is also Play/Pause. When I tap (not hold) the button it'll connect to my JetStream TV. On the Shield TV, it just automatically connects when I turn the headphones on.
