I need help! I recently updated my Firefox app to version 78 and I lost much of the navigation functionality I had in the previous version. I no longer have the back button and the tabs are hidden in a menu, I much prefer the previous interface! How can I go back to the previous version of Firefox which was pretty much perfect for me? I’m guessing it would have been version 76 or 77.

I think the mobile version of Firefox went directly from version 68 to 79 recently as a major update ( https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/07/28/mozillas-next-gen-firefox-hits-stable-after-a-year-of-previews-without-full-extension-support-apk-download/ ). It's a staged rollout as v68.11.0 is still the latest stable version in Play store on my phone. I will probably stay at version 68 for the time being because of the incomplete extension support in version 79, which is a major downgrade for me (only 9 extensions are available in version 79 right now).

You can download v68.11.0 APK directly from Mozilla's FTP and sideload it on Android TV:

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mobile/releases/68.11.0/

"android-aarch64" is for 64-bit arm devices only and "android-api-16" works on both 32-bit & 64-bit arm devices. You need to remove the version on your device first in order to downgrade to an older version, which will completely delete all Firefox-related data. So you might want to sync your bookmarks, login, and history before removing it.
