by MrChang_747

I have been looking for a decent android box for a while now, my budget is 60 AUD. What would you reccomend. At the moment I am looking at x96 MAX, a95x F3 which will you reccomend? I am only using to watch basic streaming, play store is a must have, i want to stream overseas channels aswell as having netflix

Hi, those boxes aren't using a certified version of Android for TVs, (Android TV) but a phone version. It sure is less expensive but it's not stable, won't be able to view Netflix in 1080p or 4K, navigation will be slow and unintuitive, etc

In Australia check if you can buy a Mi Box S / Stick or a Fire TV stick, those are clearly better.

These chinese boxes are so unreliable i have 2 h96max boxes one still working for 2 yrs and other failed within 3 months i would recommend you go for Firestick 4k or Mi box.

If you're going to stream from likes of Netflix, Amazon etc.. your choices are limited to certified hardware.

Stay away from 1 gb ram sticks/ boxes though.

This new tivo device is pretty good.

I have an x96 max+ that died after 2 months, and an x96 max that sometimes drops it's output. Not recommended tbh.

Absolutely agree in Australia for the price - Vodafone TV. As well as actual ATV, also got more RAM than the cheap China boxes.

Only downside since the recent OS upgrade is no NTFS drives, and the FTA TV guide only shows now/next

Update: I ended up getting the Vodafone Tv box, can't go wrong, they are amazing, no lags or stutters, runs very smoothly. It's a tad pricier than Chinese boxes but well worth it, plus 2 year warranty with Vodafone. If you're looking for a android box, and Vodafone Tv is available in your country, I suggest you get it instead of cheap Chinese boxes.

in Australia the only legit Android TV device that is properly Netflix certified and Google Approved for around the price required is the $72 Vodafone TV:

Buy a cheap Chinese device and it will NOT give you HD Netflix, not even easy to use 720p Netflix.
