My Hisense android TV shows a VGA camera device in AIDA64. Should I be concerned for my privacy or is this a software bug? Can any other Hisense TV owners corroborate this?

Maybe there’s a camera processing module built into the SoC that the manufacturer used, and there’s just no camera connected to it.

Does the TV have a dimming feature (eco mode) based on ambient light? They may be using a VGA camera as an ambient light sensor because they're dirt cheap.

AIDA is not reporting correctly. My sony x950g reports a 0.9mpx camera in AIDA.

Just cover your TV with a blanket.

Have you tried installing a camera viewer app and see if a picture shows up?

My Philips have one as well, I think it's just faking it via software to support more app then usual from the play store

Your phone watches and listens to you all day, everyday. It tracks every step you take. Why bother with the tv when you're willing to accept the former?
