To get any sort of HD or greater copy protected paid for video streaming, eg Netflix, Prime etc a device first has to be Google Certified. The best way to know that works is if legit Chromecasting works out of the box.
Next a media player needs seperate Netflix device approval otherwise the Android TV Netflix App simply does not work at all.

Web browsing basically sucks on Android TV devices vs using a desktop PC/Mac or tablet/iPad/smartphone.
You definitely won't be able to get Apple TV or Apple TV.
I don't think Chrome or Firefox run on Android TV, there are some browsers on the app store but navigating a web page through a tv remote is horrible so I wouldn't recommend doing it at all
