Thee sticks can download content but they have 4-8GB memory. Not much content really.

The Netflix and Prime TV apps dont have downloading feature, but maybe you can sideload the phone versions of the app, install them on the USB stick, and download the movies onto the USB stick.
I use this one and it works great. It doesn't get the speeds that it claims but none of them ever do.

By USB stick, do you mean something like a Mi TV or FireTV Stick? I don't know of any of these that allow downloading. None of the Android TV apps I use allow downloading, even if their respective Android phone/tablet apps do. As far as I know, the only way you'll manage this would be to hook the van up to a regular Android device using a USB to HDMI adapter. I think most devices support this these days, but I've never actually done it so I can't say what the experience would be like.
