[GUIDE] How to map buttons on Mi TVs

Hello, I finally found a solution to map the following buttons on Mi TVs-

  1. Mi PatchWall button
  2. Netflix Button
  3. Prime Video button

Please follow the steps below-

  1. Map the buttons as usual in Button Mapper.
  2. Go to Settings > Apps > Special App Access > Usage Access > Enable Button Mapper.
  3. Go to Settings > Apps > Special App Access > Modify System Settings > Enable Button Mapper.

After this, your buttons should work as you set in the Button Mapper app WITHOUT launching the app the button was made for.

EDIT: Only single press and double press mapping works, long press ends up opening the intended app.

Does this work only with Mi Tv? I am using mibox4, whenever i try to add button(netflix and prime video) in button mapper, it just goes to that app, without recognizing the button.

If you don't use the Netflix and Prime Video apps, you can disable them. This way long press actions would also start working reliably.

So does this work? Don't have my mi stick with me to test atm but had this issue when setting up
