Rip puffin TV
Ha... no thanks
Just got this message, I was using it just fine seconds ago. I thought it was a free app? Anyone else getting this?
Does anyone have an alternative browser I can use? I use puffin browser to stream games
If you guys are looking for a puffin alternative try TV Bro web browser. I have got it installed on my shield tv and it works wonders with the shield tv remote. Bottom are some of the features that the browser has.
Web browser optimised to use with TV remote. Features:
Just note that the browser doesn't seem to be on the play store so you will have to sideload it.
I sideloaded Chrome and it has worked fine the few times I needed it.
Yep as of a couple of days ago puffin is dead to me and I'm now using Firefox with curser function so yay
Already found a solution, I just downloaded Firefox from Aptoide
Personally I just use the mobile version, which I side loaded. I use a physical keyboard+touchpad so I have no issue navigating with it.
Well that sucks.
At least you should be able to sideload an old version (or a better browser)...
Yep, got this the other day also
Crap
What happens when you click "Maybe Later"?
I found that you just delete the app and then reinstalling it will bypass the screen
FML
I just got an update for the app, now I’m no longer getting the choose your plan screen, weird they must have removed it with the update.
No way..
Wth is this shit. Soon, we will we have to buy oxygen on a subscription basis too.
Yet another app goes the subscription way, and a web browser at that.
Uninstalled, I now use this as a browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.esaba.downloader&hl=en_US
TV-bro is the way to go IMO. Simple, no bloatware, uses webkit AndroidTV OS integrated engine, works fast, no need to sideload and have integrated (and missed by google directive) downloader! https://github.com/truefedex/tv-bro/ AptoideTV have latest version too.
I actually paid for the Puffin subscription.... And Google refunded me a few days later. Seems fishy.
How is TV Bro. I've heard TVWeb Browser is decent too.
Another one joining the subscription bandwagon. Thanks, but no thanks.
