NVIDIA Shield Spotify search keyboard issue

Has anyone run into issues using the remote to input a search in Spotify.

I had no issues until a week ago. Using the stock remote, I navigate to the search bar but I can no longer bring up the onscreen keyboard. I have to use Android TV remote or Mouse Toggle which work fine.

I should mention no other apps with a search bar have this issue.

I've tried switching back to Lean back from Gboard as well, and have tried turning off the mouse toggle.

Also uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify (reboot after uninstall).

I've seen one mention of it on Spotify support but no resolution there either.

Same issue here. After complete reset it works but when close and open again it don’t work

But why does it work when I completely reset shield to factory settings? It seems to work until you close Spotify. After that the issue is back. Can’t find anything on the support site from Nvidia

When you have Spotify open in search modus, and you go to keyboard settings in shield, switch to gboard and switch back to lean back keyboard, and open Spotify again the keyboard magically returns.

Same issue here... also I can’t make playlists or add songs to an existing playlist.
