Sorry guys. A new tile pops up when the live stream starts. If you've subscription, you can just login and watch.
There is no live tv available on Hotstar's Android TV app. If you are looking for live tv, sideload Jiotv+ apk https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/reliance-jio-digital-services-pvt-ltd/jiotv-android-tv-2/jiotv-android-tv-2-1-0-4-9-release/ It will show live star channels. Clicking on Star channels will redirect you to hotstar app and will play live TV on hotstar app.
You don't need to have Jio SIM for this to work. Your existing subscription of hotstar is fine.
