Power Off Mi Box 4K?

I've got a Mi Box 4K recently. I'm not sure how do I shutdown or power it off. There's a power button on the Mi Remote. From what I read on the internet, it puts the device to sleep. Long pressing the power buttons brings up Restart and Screenshot options only.

Currently, I press the power button on the remote, once the screen goes black, I turn off the adapter plug. Is this the only and correct way to power off this device? I can't keep the device plugged in all the time when not in use.

you can use Google voice assistant and say " switch off /off / sleep " it get into sleep mode.

Adding the power menu through the app button mapper works on my Sony TV. It will give you different options including power off/shutdown, which will actually power off the device.

These are kinda always on devices.. why do you want it to turn off? Sleep state is just fine, i don't even do that on my mibox 3 since I've got it many years ago.
