Stream TV audio TO airplay speakers

by hlidotbe

Hi,

I'm pulling my hairs on this one. I though it would be a quick Google search but nope.

I recently bought a TV with Android TV (Xiaomi 4S 55) and I would like to have a better sound. The easy way would be a soundbar but I already have a Symfonisk (Sonos) speaker and it'd would be great to be able to use it (without forking 450€ for the Sonos Beam...).

I've found plenty of Android apps that can mirror/cast/... to an Apple TV through Airplay 2 but nothing so far (or seemingly) to broadcast FROM the TV to Airplay speakers.

It seemed basic but obviously not so much :(

Anyone in a similar spot ?

Those are wifi speakers correct? I don't think what you want to do is going to work.

The reason this doesn't exist is because synchronizing the sound from a wifi device to a screen is basically impossible. The Sonos caches the files it streams for a reason, hence when you change songs abruptly, it takes a while to start.

Sound bar, or use an aux cable from the TV.

Found this on 9to5 Mac

Install AirMusic (Android App) to enable the Android casting music to Airplay speaker/ Device (AppleTV)

Never tried it myself. But yeah, no hard experimenting.
