This is the Google App from the new Chromecast with Google TV.
This should fix broken search for those who installed LauncherX on their Android TVs.

Any luck with a fix for customising recommendations? I see a com.google.android.leanbacklauncher.recommendations on my shield but that's the old one, do you see anything similar with launcherx on your new CC?
I installed it. But it keeps scanning or something and then i get a message:
Error loading Can not load Home. Try again.(button)
What am I doing wrong? Is it because i live in the Netherlands? And it is not available here?
Anything to fix the account settings button in the notification area?
Does the new chromecast have a newer screensaver? Also is there a live Channels APK for it?

I just installed the Google TV apk on my Shield TV minutes ago. Is this apk supposed to replace that? Or does this apk work alongside that apk to just fix the search?
Doesn't work on Mi Box 3. Install ok but black screen after stock launcher uninstall/disable.
Got apps mixed up.

eventually ' google TV app ' [ formerly ' Google play movies and TV app ' ] is enabling that customization for services/sources [ attow... it's only possible with the app for smartphone and mobile version ]

Does the screen saver option in the settings page work or does it still crash? That also prob need another app.
Can you just get all the apks from Google tv and upload it somewhere for people to try it out.
